Default Accom for CPS Testing

I've just got my dates through for testing and we're off to Calgary next month - v.excited! Would be grateful if anyone has any suggestions as to the best place to stay? I'm considering being as close to the testing stations as possible to make life easier for arriving at each appointment.

I stayed at the Sandman twice. Once when over on a reccie and ride alongs and the second time with my wife whilst doing the tests.
It is perfectly adequate for what we needed....a bed at night after all the researching and testing.

Hi there, My Husband had all his test In October (which he passed thankfully) we booked into the days Inn but I was stuck there with our 3 year old daughter not in a very nice area with nothing to do but go to the swimming pool (max time there is 30 mins really) which wasnt that warm and I never knew what time he would be coming back so it was very boring just waiting around. We then met some ex-pats who helped us move hotels to the Super 8 at Shawnessey which is the last stop on the transit so you can easily get around on that which is a great service and as it is the 1st stop on a morning you always get a seat and also on the way to the transit you pass Tim Houghtons which is always a plus to warm you up. Around there, there is alot more to do with shops and eating places and we spend alot of time with our daughter looking at the animals in the pet shop there and all in walking distance the only down side is it is quite a way from the airport but we managed to get lifts with the CPS both ways so we were very lucky (we paid $80 per night) which was a special rate so try push them down. Mark has received confirmation he has passed everything (the Pare test he found tough) and the CPS are just doing background checks then it is immegration so hopefully this time next year we may be lloking at a white Christmas in Calgary. hope all goes well good luck and Merry Christmas.

I know several families who are cheaper than the hotels and they rent out their basements/rooms for a small fee. The advantage is that you get to spend some time with other expats who have done the move and if you are coming alone you have someone to spend some time with.

Pm me for their details.
