Love reading all the posts as would love to be in Canada - we have a cottage on the lake at Seeley's Bay near Kingston, ON.

But my question is - is there anywhere where I can look up all the abbreviations!! Took me a week to work out that OH is other half but some of there i don't get at all!

It's from the Australian section but most of it is fairly general. There are parts of it relating to posting, lingo and etiquette.

And, I'm so envious of your cottage. I grew up in Brockville, Ontario and really miss the Thousand Islands area.

If you go to the Wiki (on blue bar at top of page) then there is a page in the Canadian section which explains them all. Just type 'abbreviations' into the search box and it'll bring it straight up.

so why arent you back there - yes its a lovely area.... wish we were there...

We thought we'd do something different for a bit and are in Australia for the next year or 2 (been here almost 2 already). I do love it here and I could stay but we had always planned to go back to Canada.

I wish I could talk my husband into moving to Brockville, not sure it will ever happen though. He wants to move west by his family and I want to move east by mine. I've got another year or so to work on him, so who knows....
