However hygiene (lack of) would be much more concerning if I were considering fitting someone with contact lenses, as I said earlier you really can do some serious damage by not adhering to hygiene, care and wearing time instructions. :scared:

And before you all jump down my thoat for being mean, I have worn glasses since the age of 10 myself, and couldn't do without them! Just that some glasses work better than others when it comes to looks!
edit: I have to say I hated my glasses with a loathing as a child, and my parents gave me contact lenses as a 16th B/day present (long-promised). I then wore contacts until my second child, when my eyes seemed too dry, and I got used to wearing specs again. I am now very comfortable in my specs, and only wear contacts for sports, performing on stage, and occasionally for social occasions!

Ha - says me who had to wear NHS glasses from the age of 4!
The only thing that would probably help with the glasses would be if someone other than nearest and dearest tell him he looks 'older' and more 'interesting'........ as a child you never quite believe your parents and you know they will tell you anything to try to get you to do what they want........... or maybe I was just a very cynical child??????

Or did you get caught out in a big fib at some point. The thing is that if you generally tell them the truth (or at least an age appropriate version of it) they tend to believe you more often.

No, she definitely has a mind of her own and nothing will change her mind....just like good old mom! If we told her the sky was blue, she would argue that it wasnt blue at all!
