Salary requirements for moving to NL
Hi all,
I've got the opportunity to work in the Netherlands again and move my family over from the UK. I haven't talked to the company that has offered me a position about money as yet, and I wanted to know what a reasonable requirement (pre-tax) would be for a comfortable 3 bed apartment in the Hague/Delft/Leiden areas and considering it would be just be myself working and we'd send our two girls to a nearby International school which would cost probably EUR 5-6k each per year.
We'd probably be looking to spend around EUR 2k per month on rent, plus would need an average car.
Last time I was working in NL it was more than twenty years ago, when I was young, free and single living it up in Amsterdam, so I expect it's changed a bit!

Rental properties are in short supply.
This is just one of many news articles on the subject.

Housing to rent can be found on the following (and more)
https://directwonen.nl/
https://www.funda.nl/huur/
What is an average car? You can look up purchase prices here.Again there are a lot more websites.
https://www.gaspedaal.nl/
for yearly road taxes you need to find the "Wegenbelasting per kwartaal" this will give you a figure which needs to be times by 4. This site will do that for you when you add the Kenteken (reg number).
https://www.centraalbeheer.nl/verzek.../kentekencheck
Each province sets it's own charges. The same website gives you a lot more information on the vehicle including what low emission zone stickers you may need to apply for.
This will help you find out about actual costs of living related to some Dutch cities.
https://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-livin...ry=Netherlands
This will tell you about what visas your family will need.

If you are able to benefit from the 30% tax benefit read this. https://www.belastingdienst.nl/wps/w...rcent-facility
