Default Roasters

Looks like the autumn has finally started to sidle up alongside the departing summer and thus my thoughts turn to roast dinners on a Sunday. I have tried, without much success to find a Dutchy equivalent to a King Ed of Marris Piper. I've tried Bintje, Nicola and Desiree but they are pretty gash to be honest and do not roast well. Most supermarkets only stock these varieties and some bags do not tell what type they are, only if they are 'vastkokend' or ' kruimig'. Boil or mash as it were.
I end up bringing back some Aunt Bessie' s for in the freezer to stash and last me through to the spring, once my supply of King Eds has run out.

Anybody got a good tip to locally source a good roaster?

I can't help, but if you're in North Holland, these have plenty of different varieties to try (that don't come labelled merely vastkokend of kruimig)

Aardappelhof.nl

No Kind Edwards left this year though
