Yep I remember well those first meets. Deb & I drove to Birmingham with my Dad to the first Rose & Crown meet, I look back now & think wow that was a lifetime ago.

Looking back I should have been more impressed myself. At the time I remember being a little peeved.

You never realised that you were starting a long career of being a troublesome git, did you These days threads are moved to TIO all the time, in those days it was almost unheard of!!

Actually, I think it was something like asking about if I could put tea bags into the container and then getting some caustic response from another BE'er saying something like, yeah, right, we don't have teabags over here... I think I replied to say "ok, guess how many fingers I am holding up?".... since then I have been much nicer! lol!
