Strange spellings are common place too. My local rag - the Mackay Mercury is basically Viz.

Yes, outrageous. See spelling mistakes all over - menu's, shop signs, even our school year 7 graduation large screens - full of errors.

I certainly think "Editor" should be on the Skills In Demand list. (That said, I'm forever correcting my own org's website, and the Online Content Manager is English.)

There seems to be an ongoing Aussie issue with regards to whether they follow English or American spellings. There's also shit loads of spelling that would be wrong anywhere. Just a personal niggle but can everyone on BE spell definitely now? It's NOT definately.
