I had a radio put in my car a few weeks ago and whilst I waited I trekked across the roads, looking like a vagrant- this was at Westfield Fountain Gate - looking for somewhere to hang out...I found Maccas...with a McCafe...salvation!

No idea about the YooKay.
i never saw a mc cafe in the the area we lived in before coming to oz. However when i lived in Paderborn in Germany i saw a mc cafe for the first time , i thought i had died and gone to heaven as i could get a more healthy take away than normal.
I was delighted to see the Darwin has 2 mc cafes complete with kiddy play area and by all accounts local mums use it for a coffee and play sessions.

However mc donalds is rubbish close to us every order we have had has been wrong whether we use the drive in or walk in, how hard can it be to get 1 chicken nuggets happy meal and 3 big macs, i never get anything as i cant stand their food they even mucked up my salad when i first asked for one so gave up

They've kind of combined the two over the last couple of years with low slightly reclining seats being in most outlets now. It's hard to get a macdonalds burger down in those chairs withour getting sauce and gerkins etc down your shirt.

And Oportos is the best fast food here by a mile.
Is it similar to Nandos? I love Nandos. Must try them here in Oz too.

Huh? McCafe pastries are all sugar and oil. Do they do sandwiches as well, then?

Ahh, wait, hold on - I've just remembered why: McDonald's used to own Aroma and Pret a Manger. They wouldn't have wanted three separate fascias in the coffee bar business at that time.
