There are some in there that have never been asked, to my recollection anyway, but it's impossible to tell which is which. It's harmless and nothing's happened to us, it's the same thread that rears it's head every year or so, so continue laughing and don't stress. Posters haven't been put off by these threads yet (not that I know of anyway

They post and then add that they didn't want to post because of ridicule but then carry on posting regardless 
I often think that the 'seasoned' posters complain about people being nasty to new posters more than new posters - I'm sure the majority don't see a problem.

With some of the opinions on here, I can quite understand your reticence at times. Personally, I think it is great to hear views from a different perspective!

Hands up everyone on this particular thread who DIDN'T post one of these types of threads when they joined or did everyone just know everything when they arrived - how lucky are you? Yeh, I know I'm a killjoy, but I think it's a bit mean to take the mickey out of some real concerns of people who are/have been on here. It's particularly bad to laugh at people on here who are homesick. I'm sure there are a fair few who are just that and come on here for a cheer-up. Come on guys, we were all there once.
