Wouldn't agree with his politics but to be fair, he does seem very aware that he's a bungling oafish type, but he is happy enough being himself.
I mean that's what we try and say to kids isnt it? Accept yourself and be happy with it.
He did OK at the ceremony today I thought. Not great, but OK and sure it was an odd situation to be in.

That was actually pretty cool. He was so moved to find out his Granny Butters wasn't a liar about the royal blood in the family.

He'll pale into insignificance when the rest of Eton gets into gov though.

In a world where most politicians are far removed from reality, and deal in little but sound bites, staged photo opportunities and preaning self-publicity, Boris Johnson is like a breath of fresh air, and long may he continue.

Completely agree. Far too many false, smiling sycophants. At least in BoJo what you see is what you get. I'd rather have someone who appears to be a bumbling idiot than the likes of Brown or Livingston

Boris might appear to be a bumbling toff, but he is in reality as sharp as a tack. Remember, they all laughed when he stood for Mayor against Livingstone - and then promptly won.
I've seen him on Question Time on telly etc. and he invariably wins the argument. Even on Have I Got News for You, he coped with Paul Merton and Ian Hislop and had the bottle to do it - the only other policitian I ever saw on that who could handle himself was Charles Kennedy.
With Boris, what you see is NOT what you get. At the very least, he's not one of the robotic nu-labour drones.
p.s. Apparently Boris flew economy class to Bejiing - can you imagine other policitians doing that ?

Very true. The bumbling school master act is just that, an act; mannerisms of his own which he's accentuated for his own political advantage, and probably a little self-preservation. The man underneath the chalk-dusted gown is very different.
