Default Woolworths have a UK sweet section

Popped into my local Woolworths and down one of the isles (not the confectionery isle) they had a section of UK sweets.

Orange Clubs, Frys, Double Deckers, Twiglets, Allsorts, Jelly Babies, Galaxy..............

They have been selling Double Deckers on and off for a while for 99c. Much cheaper than Treats From Home and any other UK shop I have been too.

Is your supermarket a special one, navigable only by small boat?

My nearest Woolworths has just had a reno (see how Australian I've become?)

Now, in the International Tastes aisle, they sell Maynards Wine Gums, Fig Rolls, Tunnocks Caramel Wafers, Colemans Mustard and Mint Sauce, Clubs, Paxo Stuffing, Double Deckers..erm.. loads of other stuff. Oh yes, Pickled Red Cabbage!

We've had loads of hot pot and red cabbage since they reopened.

I panicked bought the first week.. but they'd all been replenished next time I went in.

I've gone 3 1/2 years without the need for a Tunnock's Caramel Wafer and now I'm suffering with a severe addiction to them.

I did see those Caramel Wafers but avoided them this time. They are yummy.

My nearest Woolies is at Emu Plains (just the other side of the river to Penrith)

There's also a big Woolies in the Westfield in Penrith, but I haven't been in there since Christmas so I don't know if they have a load more English stuff too.

We are in UK for a year or so. When we first arrived, we went mad buying loads of delicious chocolate. Our fridge is full of the stuff and we are rather over the whole British chocolate thing. So eat loads of Tunnocks and you will soon be over that addiction!!!

I'm going hunting in the international tastes section (if they have one) of my local Woolies tomorrow. I'm sure I would have unearthed these British goodies but I will have another look. And will check out Coles for the Angel delight.

I think our international tastes corner is more likely to have a large selection of noodles. Then again, it could be vegemite...

I was in Woolies at Chermside not long ago and yes, more noodles than anything else. I've got Angel Delight from the Chocolate Box in the Myers Centre before now.

Its a bit like Cadbury's workers being able to eat sweets at will from the conveyor belt - you soon get over them.

I am intrigued by your first sentence Pomster - you're hopeful about getting back over here? That's great news if so
