DO IT, DO IT, DO IT

We're in the process and are on a visit to Oz to make sure one last time and I say DO IT!!!

Once you've done you're skills application, that really is the biggest step, then the waiting, then the visa application, then more waiting.

Just go for it!!

I was the same, although I knew what I wanted and went for it, the process of skills assesment is slow and painful, after that things move at quite a quick pace and in the end you run out of time.

Start planning everything nowfor your new future and if you have good visa prospects then it will all keep you busy and moving along.

Don't dream, plan ahead.

Get moving and make that dream no longer a distant dream, make it a reality.

Sending you Karma as a token of encouragement.

Bloody pathetic, that's what I call it!!!

Come on Timmins family - hussle hussle.... think of what it's costing you in money & opportunity, plodding along here in the UK.

When you've done the skills assessment you'll still have months to wait for the visa & all the time the kids are getting older....

GET ON WITH IT!!!

Will that do?

There is probably a subconcious reason why you are prevaricating and lacking motivation. Have you investigated that?

It seems to have taken us ages from the point of making the decision to here - and we haven't got the visa yet!

Hopefully we'll be there in January although I said that this time last year

Every point in the process seems to have taken longer than we anticipated!

Get the skills assesment sorted quickly, the rules and trade requirements are assessed regulary & change often if you leave it too long you may find there is no longer a requirement for your skills. I believe that once you have been accepted if the rules change it won't affect you. My friends brother was taking too long to sort his application out and now due to the big influx of trades from Asia they closed the door on his trade so now cannot get over here.
Good luck and go for it

John

Get off your lazy butts & go for it!

Will that do?

Seriously, get that skills assessment in asap, then start decluttering, car boots & e-bay. Trust me when I tell you not to leave everything to the last minute like me!

If you are certain this is what you want, then go for it

Why do you need motivating if it's a dream? Wish I was in a position where I could apply, there'd be no stopping me

Good Luck and if you pull together you too will make it.
We have had a wonderful life here in Australia and have no desire to return to the UK. It is now more than 57 years.

we have been plodding along the wannabee migrant path for about nearly 6 years now ... but external forces have stopped us in our paths
family problems, health problems and now elderly parent problems (and bereavement) have all stopped us in our tracks.

but we will get there one day ... you just gotta be patient

I agreed with Ben. The more time you spend doing research while you wait (I do believe it is called planning)...will really help you when you get hear.

If I hadn't done research, I would have been on the first plane home when things got exceedingly tough.
