Good or bad that they're bringing prominent attention to the proposed bills?

Good or bad that the US are proposing bills which may have far reaching effects way beyond the US borders (even though its now unlikely that they'll be discussed in their current form)?

Whatchoo talkin' 'bout Alf?

Wikipedia is brilliant. Sure, they often get things wrong, but they also get most of it right. Stuff that I actually know something about is often spot-on on Wikipedia. You should always look at different sources though.

I think SOPA is dead in the water in its current form.

The powers that be in the New World Order will keep trying though, they'll stop at nothing.

It's good that this blackout raises it as an issue.

Let's hope so. It seems that Obama isn't keen on it, and it requires his signature to become law.

Not exactly much of a reference then, if you already know the information you're looking up?

But a good check to see if a source of information is reliable

If you're a Wiki tragic you can still get your fix - type in the search criteria and then jump on your PC's "Stop" button before it goes to the blackout page.

All of the above, now that you mention them. I'm not that deep.

Maybe "discuss" is more appropriate.

Only for that one article which you already know about though (presuming what you know is correct). Anyone can edit on Wikipedia, so one article being correct doesn't mean those articles you don't know about are correct.

I really couldn't give a shit. If I need to really know something I will check Wikipedia and other sources.

I think Wikipedia is awesome - the greatest encyclopedia ever created.
