I've just seen the thread which was shut down and have to say that the attitude of the person who caused the problem wasn't great. They weren't even an 'old time poster' who has seen and done everything.

The answer to your perfectly reasonable question, is yes, every June, the number of visa grants DOES slow down. It has been this way every year. It doesn't mean you definately won't get your visa in June, it won't mean your CO won't work on your case. It does mean there will probably be a rash of visa grants in July.

I have no idea why someone couldn't say that - it wasn't difficult. I asked the same question a couple of years ago and got a civil answer.

One of the 1st threads I ever posted got a narky comment back in response.. since then 1500 odd later, I can only ever say that I have only ever encountered about 10 (and thats being generous) that have prob put my back up.. some have a few personal comments, some have just pointed out stuff that i didnt want to see (and put my back up)...

Keep coming back to your threads and re-reading what people are saying.. some have been thru stuff that really helps... of course you always can get the one @rsehole who wants to give you a hard time.. but they are usually few and far between...

Keep posting! :D

Hi everybody….those who are tiered of waiting please raise their hands up (ok be kind enough to put the middle finger down) …ha ha ha very funny!

I regret if I have missed anything on my absence in this forum since I hardly sight this way now. Back then I had many shoulders to cry on and what happened to the solidarity?

I am aware of the setbacks and delays that non CSL and non Gvt. Sponsored applicants are facing at the moment and I saw at several points that they have said these applications will not be processed within this fiscal year. Being an applicant falling in to this category my question is (my questions are)

1. Is there a guarantee that they will take up our applications soon after 30th of June (for e.g: 1st of July) or will they be still busy up to June 2010 processing the so-called critical ones??? What does it mean by “these applications will not be processed within this fiscal year”? Because for sure I know it doesn’t mean that they will be processed in the next or the year after!!! The statement is so irresponsible.
2. If they are to take our MODL and Family sponsored applications in what order will they be taken? In the order of the date of Approval?
3. When they take these applications will they implement a new timescale that things will be processed within three to four months (Fast like they do now for CSL & State Spons) or do we have to stick to the old timescale like previously taking another six to nine months?
4. Are there any applicants who have been allocated a CO even accidently for these non prioritized categories within the last month or two? (To see whether they stick to the policy)!!!
5. Is there anybody for god’s sake anybody… who can put something reliable other than the automated e-mail reply by DIAC on this forum that is more pleasing and satisfying?!! Or else can we directly talk to someone from inside DIAC to get firsthand details?

God I´ve had the same problem a few times, I even started a similar thread to this one a bit ago. I tell u what pisses me off; when the same person seems to keep cropping up on threads you start or comment on, and they've always got something smart arsed to say to you and there's one rule for you and another for the other more established maybe 'chummy' BE members.

I'll give you an example; I posted a thread once and aapparently I hadn't quite 'worded' it correctly -the way I worded it may have made some people think I was going to do something which I wasnt, I was just asking about it. Anyway this particular BE bandit decided to tell me the holy ways of wording and etiquette blah blah
A short while later....... another BE bandit said that emigrating was the hardest thing you'll ever go through in life (something along those lines) so I kindly pointed out that there are much worse things in life than emigrating  and did I get a telling off!? lol aapparently I shouldn't have thought the bandit actually meant what they said of course they knew there were much worse things in life......... hmmmmm..........and the certain member who told me to word things correctly in case of confusion was the 1 who told me off!!

If you wish to talk to someone inside DIAC you need to phone DIAC. Although they read the forum they do not post here, and when officers have attempted to post in the past the department has asked them to stop.

No-one can tell when a particular application will be processed. The immigration forum is currently full of people asking the same question, to the point that other posters have stated they no longer ask questions about qualifications etc because their threads are lost amongst a deluge of threads about timelines.

Please don't let this thread dissolve into something personal against specific posters. Its very true that some posters do cause upset and do offend people with their replies. Its also true that some threads are closed becuse they dissolve into arguments - it is a shame for the OP but sometimes it is the only way to keep control over the forum.
If anyone wishes to complain about a specific post or poster, please report it so that the moderators can address the issue. To report a post, click on the blue button with an exclamation mark, beside the karma button.

 sorry that made me laugh this morning. I don't tell people off, this is an internet forum for adults btw not a school classroom. I have had 1 interaction with you on 1 thread. Normally I steer clear of your threads and posts to be honest so that the same doesn't happen again.
