Why are people so negative?

Why are people so negative?
i have been sitting reading posts on here and i am wondering why are there so many negative people on here.
Now when i lived in the UK i met so many people that just didnt like where their lives were heading or where they were living,some didnt have much of a choice but just got on with it.
Now over here in Australia i am seeing or in this case reading the same thing.Now i do understand that there are people here in situations where they cant go back to the UK (commitments here etc etc).Also there are people who come here and go back to the uk several times before deciding where to settle.But these people just moan and groan about the weather,the aussie way of life,money,wages, and Australia in general blah blah blah .If they dont have commitments here why cant they just go back to the uk or where ever they feel they would prefer instead of giving a continuous flow of negative responses.Now i do understand that when advise is requested people need both good and bad. I live here in Oz and love it but to be honest it is not all pluses (but there are more than minuses).
But these people who dont like it here and have a choice why not move back to where ever and give some one a chance who wants to be here and live and enjoy a full life.

Maybe some people come here and just have so much shit piled on top of other shit piled on top of other shit that they have no choice but to be negative. It's not as easy as simply be happy to move on.

OK, I reckon the people who complain are just born complainers, never to be happy wherever they live, so perhaps they will stay in Australia but continue to be bloody pommie whingers

Thinking about some of the people you are probably referring to.....some of them are doing something about it. However doing something about it can take time, years even. So in the meantime...they're free to say what they think!

i am not taring all with the same brush,some have good reasons and are in a process of changing ,and it doesnt just stop with this site or here in Australia but world wide,as in a previous post some people what ever they do in life with moan about it .

DOn't forget that with some of us who feel like ducks out of water, we just see ourselves as posting realistically. I know a lot of my posts come over as negative, but to me they are just real. Same as to those who post really upbeat stuff, they probably aren't intentionally being "positive" they are also just posting realistically - its just that their experiences of Aus are different from mine.

I reckon there is a time and place - so people who do complain have a lot of concerns probably worth fixing and seeing to!! I'd hazard a guess that some of these people really do need help - and a way out.

Some people are negative because a) they want to be; b) they can't help it; c) circumstances dictate that they need to be; d) they're just having a shit day. There are just as many positive people on the boards. Maybe it depends on your particular frame of mind when reading as to which group of people and posts stick in your head more.
