This is fantastic news, as anyone from Geelong will attest.
The feelings in the city when we lost in 1990 were palpable - up until GF day, the city was filled with hope (this was several months following a local building society crash where some of us lost their life savings), then, just simple loss. It was bizarre - both my dad and I physically cried when they lost...and if you knew me, you'd realise that I dont normally give a toss about things like that.
I guess that Im trying to illustrate that emotions really can run high around this one day in September. It is more than a game to many people, it is a symbol of struggles over many years.
Go Cattas!

So sorry you were involved in the crash of the Building Society, it was heartbreaking for all concerned

I dont really judge men on their fitness, I leave that for AFL fans.

Notice how the only thing NRL fans can think of when they try and insult AFL is by saying its gay. Its not exactly a well thought out insult. AFL players are some of the toughest sports people in the world period. Unlike most other contact sports AFL players can be tackled from any direction. AFL players jump as high as basketballers, kick goals from 60 metres out, run nearly 20 km a game and get tackled hard. Can anyone find a tougher code of football in the world. I doubt it.
