Ic is right, you will be there, p'ing off all the newbies before you know it. Those who are there already are jammy buggers though - I bet they sold their houses in rising markets and swapped their money at a good rate and bought their Aussie house before the prices shot up. Makes you pig sick.

Who needs a golf course and a ute??? (Interestingly enough, the Ute is now the poser car in the school carpark, all the Dads gather round and go OOO. I said 'nice ute' to one the other day and he looked aghast.)

He's got it even worse than you Jenni - they took away Ivor's visa path last September and won't tell anyone if they are going to replace it....

well you only get out what you put in , i'm not off there to be rich , i'll do my best to get a pool , nice house that fits us .. but i wanna get away from that " my house is bigger than your house " attitude thats seems to be the norm in the UK . maybe its the norm there , i'll see . not fussed if my car is 2yrs old or 10 .
4/5 years ago the exchange rate hit 3AUD to the UK£ ( i think it was bout then ) , so who is jammy ? its par the course , if it feels right & you can afford the rate do it , you can't hang on & hope ... this time next year it may be at 2.5 ,, it may be at 1.5 ..

yes unfortunately still hanging in there OH and myself have just been chatting about it gonna send an email to our agent to see if we can get money back cause they have done sod all for us since sept :curse: no advice nothing

ah chill out, you could have been in limbo for as long as we have ... its now 5 years and counting ... not even managed to get as far as sending in an application as something always goes wrong and we have to put our plans on hold ... *sigh*
