Evening All!!!

You are not going to believe this - tonight I need a large stiff drink to keep me going....

What a day, I am an emotional cripple

I have had the visa grant that I have been waiting for...

I made my sister choke on her words as she is devastated that I am leaving although she is really happy for me. When I phoned her this morning I think I took her aback somewhat and she just couldn't control her emotions

I have also hurt a very dear friend and am not sure whether they are speaking to me, what makes it worse is it wasn't intentional and I don't know if I can put it right

So if ever a needed a drink and some spirit lifting company tonight will be the night.......

Anyone fancy some totally depressive company?

With regards to your friend, if s/he is a real true friend you will overcome it, you may just have to grovel somewhat. ((hugs)).

I'm sure your sister is happy for you - just shocked that you got the visa - afterall, before you had it, it was a big 'what if'. It may not seem like it now, but it's good that she can be honest about her feelings with you. By the time you go, she will have got a fair way through the grieving process - and so will you.

Why not ring / email your friend and apologise - even if they're in the wrong. Tell them you don't want to leave on bad terms.

Then come on here and make dirty jokes with the rest of us!

I have offered the friend an olive branch and a huge heartfelt apology now just have to sit back and see what happens - which is the hard bit

My sis is happy for me but we only have each other and she has depended on me for an awful lot in the past few years She is happy and settled with her new husband or I wouldn't be able to leave but even then there is a huge difference between me being 2 1/2 hour drive away and a day plane journey hey??? She is also still very hormonal after having Ryka and just couldn't help her response.

The kids were also crying this morning, over the cat and their friends etc!!!

I will be fine, I always am! Just having a huge crisis of confidence today. The one thing on it's own I could handle, all of it put together and my shoulders are sagging
