A bit pathetic IMO and certainly not in whatever "Olympic spirit" there still might be.

It was very funny. Probably didnt get deleted as I only gave it a mention in someone elses thread, wasnt exactly a double thread.

Thought I would have a good watch of the news this morning now the olympics is over, no hope, coverage was live from airport of the 'heros' coming home, fascinating it was too. Airport hangar, plane, runway, waiting zzzzzzzzzzz LOL

Absolutely no different to the coverage of Team GB arriving home.

No no no, NB - you are completely and utterly wrong. There is one crucial and massive difference between the two. The Australian coverage is 'Australian' and therefore inherently crap in every way - and the British coverage is 'British' and therefore inherently perfect in every way. It's easy to miss - you're lucky you've got me to point these things out to you.

Probably the same in every country, just thought it amusing how long the reporter in airport hanger with various shots of runway coverage went on in that time I showered, did lunches, breakfasts, fed the dogs, cleaned the house, did the washing, got ready for work, looked at the internet, took several phone calls and still with baited breath Ms airport hangar is waiting, I mean maybe august 26 was a quiet day in world history but they could have shown some other news in between riveting footage of the airport roof and tarmac.
