I even popped to local boat ramp earlier and spoke to a few people about getting the boat in and out of the water on my own. General consensus was I'll get it in, but out will be fun ...lol.

Killing me tho as I've had it ready for a while now, all licenced up and just need a bit of luck with the weather and we'll be off!

(to the bottom of the river! ...lol)

well it proper rained last night;)
365mm on the springfield alarm thats 15 bleenin inches;)

last night we went up bonogin, to a friends for dinner
( and it was bloody good too thanks )
it rained constantly whilst we where there and when it came time to go home we couldnt, we drove down smith road and at the bottom the creek had burst its banks ( it runs parallel to the road ) and the water was about half way up the 1mtr road markers and running like a train
sod that for a lark so we went back up the hill and bummed a bed for the night ( thanks again guys )
this morning on the way home we realised just how bad it had been
at the bell centre end of mudgeraba the road had been under about 4 foot of water ( pic one note how high the debris is on the abandened utes bonnet ) and the local sports ground didnt fare much better ;) with at least 4 foot of water over night and when you think how big an area the sports ground is on thats an awful lot of friggin wet stuff

Drizzle at last... looks like it stopping.. Now the pool pump is making a strange noise, but I guessing too many leaves and some little bits have got into the pump.

I've been listening to ABC this morning and all I hear is floodings, evacuations, flash floods (what's the flash bit about? ... a show off flood? ...), roads covered by water, people on top of their cars, and the SAS (Must be bad if they've flown them from the UK!! ...)

I'm hoping to get me ole boat in the water today so am off soon to fill up the tank and grab a few bits.

Will keep camera handy!

SES (State Emergency Service) not SAS

Hope all you guys down there are OK. Lots of water still around, Logan/Albert/Nerang/Coomera rivers all on flood warnings, and evac centre sent up at Burleigh.

There are also flood warnings out towards Warwick, so take care when you're travelling.

SES number is 132500 if you need them (tarps, sandbags, tree through roof etc)

You can order a tree through the roof? Handy for insurance jobs

Might venture out later for a reccie later (i.e. to get some beer), too busy watching cricket (and entertaining child) ... Ponting IS Harbhajan's bunny ... never seen anyone celebrate a wicket with a commando roll before :D

Looks like storms and more lows on the way ... Coolashaker.

Tweed River and Northern rivers just come off high alert. I must put that SES number in my mobile, that way we'll never need it:D Blimey, it's wet:blink: I worked out earlier that we've not seen more than an hour of sun since 18th December. Not rained all that time but heavy cloud consistently.

There's a car park somewhere here and a solar panel on a stick. As for the two golf courses down this way well, the golfers may go out in canoes later  Oh look, it's raining again, goody

Aye, and it may come to us to save the petrol.

Sun is out now and the conditions are either described as 'sultry' or 'Betty Swollocks' depending on your inclination, ceiling fans in full effect, air con is fer wimps :D

I'm off to get some beer while I can ... I think.

Look at it through your rose tinted specs and repeat after me "the sun is always shining in Australia" ;)
