I am almost completely grey (or white), and was originally very dark. I would like some advice on hair dye (DIY type - can't afford hairdressers' prices too often).
Can anybody recommend any non-permanent dye in an ash blonde type colour?
Cheers

You're right there - I spent £76 highlights and CBD on Monday...
I only need to have them done every 4 months though, not too bad. Just hope I can find a good colourist in Oz...
You look lovely in your pic though. I only have one child and I always look tired...
Where are you in Wales?? I'm Cardiff.

My hair is quite curly and it was straightened on that day too...
Streaks are the best, I think when you don't have a lot of grey. When it goes more grey than brown, I shall go honey blond.

I agree...there, me blondish avater is up now.I agree, best to go lighter as you get older, as with make up wear less as you age.

When you get here to Australia you can go into Price Attack and speak to the hairdressers who will advise you what colour is best for your skin tone. You can get either permanent or semi colours in all the professional brands the hairdresser uses for a really reasonable price. It may be worth it having your hair coloured professionally the first time so you are only doint touch ups after. That way you know the lengths will be coloured evenly and not patchy. Especially if you have long or thick hair.

Hi Zoe
I didn't think I was grey, atleast I never noticed as I used to have two colour lights in my hair back home. I haven't had any colour in since I left and have noticed a dodgey looking white hair in my side burn
Or is it a really majorly blond hair, its hard to tell as I am naturally mousey. Getting slightly concerned, but I think its easier for us lighter coloured women to hide it than darker, as it really shows in dark hair unfortunately for your good self
They do Wellla semi permanent hair dyes out here, Corinna has just bought one for herself. I'm sure it'll be all good hon.

Ive been going grey since i was in my 20's, i didnt really start dying it until i was about 28, didnt think it was that bad, you know just a 'few' streaky bits.
But im 37 now and it grew out a bit and MY GOD if i didnt dye it i would be totally grey
its only me head and the odd eyebrow though.
But i keep it brown, kev wants me to go blond......but i dont think so somehow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe its the kids that have made it go worse!!!

I started going grey when I was 25. My mother who was was 62 at the time, didn't have grey hair on her head :curse: After about 10 years of dying it, I thought I'd see what I looked like grey, hoping to look gorgeous and glamourous
I just looked like I was 90 and very very ill. Now I do a permanent colour which is exactly my original colour every 8 weeks and in between one of those root top up packs. I have to do it myself as I just can't justify a professional colour. I do my own high/low lights as well. My sister is 52, blond and only recently found her first grey hair, my brother is 54 and his ginger hair has just faded slightly. Me - brunette and the baby and I've got everyone's share :curse:

My Mam & Dad were both young so i'm sure this must be a factor.....and trust it to be me to inherit the gene and for it to skip my Brother & Sister
