8 weeks and 3 days to go
Don't think it'll sink in til we're there and realise it's not a holiday and we don't have to go home yipeee
Maybe when I have to start work and then reality will hit!

19 days for us until we fly and Im still not sure it has sunk in! Not sure why not! All the boxes gone, house is a shell and living out of suitcases -think it will probably sink in just as the plane takes off - i always feel emotional then so this time round im gonna be a mess

It sunk in about 3 months after I got here
Even now after a year and half, I have the odd 'OMG! I live in Australia' moment

Its probably only happening now,10 months after arrival. We spent 9 months in a grotty rental and did not unpack most of our boxes thinking we`d be moving into our own home soon.Couldn`t find a house we liked for a long time but finally bought and moved in two weeks ago and its only now looking at things in situ here that has made me fully realise`this is it`.Its not all happy tho`.I`ve found it all incredibly emotional. Our boxes were packed 2/3/4th jan so lots of Christmas stuff/cards /wrapping etc as been mistakenly packed and finding all that has been quite hard.Even found some mistletoe..............

We've been here just over a year and I still have days when I think 'is this for real or am I still dreaming?'

Probably when we did the last tour of our little town in the hire car before heading up the M4 to Heathrow. Waved goodbye to the shops, the pub, Josh's primary school etc, pointed the car east and thought "Blimey ... here we go ... "

The first time was on the plane between London and Singapore... even at the airport it didn't seem real. Even now, 6 months down the line i still occasionally get the 'Blimey i REALLY live in Aus' feelings, they are getting less now but every now and then something sets them off.

Trust me even after 9 years I get the odd bugger me and thats after marrying an aussie, having 2 kids here.
I also slip into unexpected quotes like "that cost me 2 quid" for no apparent reason - be afraid it never ends!
All up though happy I am here and not in blighty.
