We have 3 girls and went for Eleanor May (Ellie), Jenna Grace (Jen) and Olivia Rose (Liv)....

We wanted names were not too popular, but not too out-there and think we managed it... there are other names we loved, and are sad we did not use, but still like the ones we went with...

Boys names were tough, and settled on ones already in the family - but never needed them....

I now await the hormone filled years with dread

Mine three are Emerald, Bailey and Ireland. I'm pretty happy with the choice, they all suit their names.

Hi as you can see from our signature our kiddies are called Ben, who was always going to be Ben there was never any other names in the running, and Sienna who is known to us as CC, wanted something slightly different and hadn't really heard of anyone called Sienna (except Sienna Miller of course).

I would love to have another baby once we get to Oz and am already looking into names, love unusual names but as someone said you have to think about it suiting them through into adult life. Different if your a celeb then you can get away with names like Apple and Peaches.

Should maybe of told OH I want another baby before you lot - oops!!

I like my first name even though it meant that I was only ever the only Lorna all through school and could not scratch my name anywhere

My middle name never bothered me until I came to Italy and realised they write all names backwards, so on all my bills and telephone book etc. I am always ................ Lorna Jane.

I hated Jane when a phone maniac started to call me and the thick gobshite got the pronunciation wrong and called me Yan-eh. That has happened since in a couple of hospitals, clinics and even an airport. My surname is even more difficult for the Italians and they never get it right but I'm used to that.

I never gave my kids middle names here because of the backwards thing. They both love their first names but are getting sick of their surname.

It begins with a Z and so they are always the last on any register, call out, school rota etc.

Our girls are Eloise, Chloe and Charlotte. We had a long list for girls (they've ended up with three names each!), but a very short, boring one for boys. Chloe was going to be Alexandra, but she just didn't look like one when she was born. I can't imagine her being anything other than Chloe now! Charlotte was named by Eloise as we'd lost inspiration by then - I'm grateful she wasn't going through a Barbie stage at the time! We loved a lot of the Irish names - so feminine and pretty, but we have a Scottish surname, so they all sounded silly, sadly.
My Welsh friend has two girls with lovely names, Eleri and Aneira - the only ones in the school!!!
