What would your last meal request be?
Texas has withdrawn the right of prisoners to request a last meal, following a prisoner ordering a feast consisting of two steaks, a triple-meat cheeseburger, a cheese omelette, a large bowl of fried okra, three fajitas, a pint of ice cream and a pound (0.45kg) of barbecue, a meal that the Criminal Justice Dept considered was too extravagant.
Oklahoma restricts prisoners to spending $15, and the last man executed there ordered a deep dish meat lover's pizza from Pizza Hut, and deep fried shrimp with cocktail sauce and hushpuppies - fried cornmeal balls - from fast food outlet Long John Silver'

I'd have to be really traditional I think, roast lamb, all the trimmings if I had the choice..... Knowing my luck though I'd end up in Texas with the ëat what you're given" option of beetroot followed by lamingtons or some such evil stuff!

WHAT? NO ****ING BOOZE???? Why the hell not?
My last request would be; screw food and bring me a huge mother ****ing line of cocaine, a bottle of Southern Comfort, and already rolled spliffs (about 5 should cover it).

I'd order my dad's plate diameter Yorkshire pudding filled with onion gravy, mushy sprouts and roast potatoes - smothered in a film of home made mint sauce. I hope he'd be able to whip that up and the tears of my imminent execution wouldn't detract from his culinary skills.
After that a French cheese board. No bland yellow stuff at all ...

Sprout Vindaloo. If I'm going to involuntarily evacuate my bowels then I'm bloody well going to do it properly.

Is there anything more sad than the Oklahoma bloke asking for a Pizza Hut Pizza? No wonder he turned to crime if that's all he had to live for.

Ah have you not heard though, it was on the news this morning that the price of bananas is 'likely to fall' in a few days time. (must be a slow news day when the mere prospect of the price of a piece of fruit falling makes the news on mainstream TV! Either that or this is a nation obsessed with bananas..)

$11/kg at Woolies last week, I passed.
Grapes were about the same but I went mad and got $12 worth, it'll be caviar this week at this rate.
