Something on the Channel 9 news tonight in Melb about unsafe power boards and such. Fire last week in Lygon St restaurant - $1m damage caused by $3 power board to quote fireman. Shall be tuning in tonight.

The power boards from Ikea are shockers, very cheap and you can hear things being crunched as you put the plugs in, usually with accompanied by a spark or two.

Since Amazulu pointed out the lack of insulation on the pins on the Adapter I've been trying to find one on the net and also whilst out at Jaycar today. I've not found one yet.

Does anyone have a picture of one please ? They are damn hard to find. If Jaycar doesnt have them I cannot think of a shop that would. Although the Jaycar one does have surge protection built in. 10 bucks each.

Dick Smith sold the ones I have with shrouded pins on them KORJO - they are black/brawn and look like Bakalite.
