This is a record, my second post in one day.
We've had quite a week. My mum was told on Wednesday that she has breast cancer again and this time they can't operate. She had a mastectomy about 8 years ago but now its on the other side. She starts an intensive course of chemo this Thursday, which hopefully will slow things down but won't cure her. It was a huge shock as although not in good health generally, she has been clear for about 4 years. She has told us that under no circumstances are we to shelve plans to emigrate but obviously its going to be a great deal harder to leave her now.
On the up side, we told my sister and brother-in-law about our plans and they were very supportive and pleased for us. I was unsure whether to tell them in view of mum's news but she wanted us to and all went a lot better than expected. Now I just have to tell my brother and sister-in-law and Paul has to tell his sister and brother-in-law, talk about stressful!
Just to please all of you already down under, it's snowing here and is freezing cold.

So sorry to hear about your Mum.
Thoughts are with your and your family.
Also, it shows what a special person she is still giving her blessing for you to emigrate under the circumstances.
