Just tick the box on the landing card saying migrating to Australia, hand that and your passport to the immigration officer in the normal way.
If your lucky you might just get a welcome to Australia comment. There is nothing special you need do at all.

How long are you staying? If you plan on just a very short trip you don't really need anything other than your passport with visa as has been said. However if you are staying a couple of weeks you could bring your CV and maybe line up some job interviews while here.

Hi
we are validating on 22nd of May. No visa sticker though. I think I read once that it wasn't necessary ????? Or else we'd better hurry up !

Not 100% essential though it does make life easier if you have one as you then have visible proof for jobs, medicare etc rather than just electronic records. Can also vary depending on the visa type though - for a 457 you usually get the sticker in Aus.

I'm planning to stay in Aus. So what i need for visa evidencing is, passport with visa sticker only isn't it ?

Also, don't presume that information provided to your airline by DIAC regarding visa status is accurate. I spent a while arguing with Qantas over whether or not they should let me on a plane from LA-Melbourne because "computer says no". In the end the only thing that convinced them to let me on the plane (other than me and SWMBO threatening to start a riot) was the visa label in my passport.
Given the choice, I'd get the label BEFORE travelling to be on the safe side, but I have the benefit of hindsight and bad experiences.

Good luck and try not to stress too much.

According to the Australian High Commission in London, visa evidencing is putting a label in somebody's passport - http://www.uk.embassy.gov.au/lhlh/visaevid.html.
