Ive had a few leaflets through the mail recently advertising products in stores, some mention for layby, which i understand but some items have not for rain check. So what is a rain check?

Im slowly getting to grips with the oddities between oz and the uk. However somethings, just leave me scratching my head lol.

A rain check is when you go to buy the thing on special and they've run out. You get a note of some sort that entitles you to the thing at the sale price when they get new stock in, after the sale is over.
