My daughter's little bun died today and at five years old was much-loved. She doesn't want to bury it and pleaded with me not to put it in the bin. Do vets have a 'disposal' service ? If so, any idea how much ? Thanks.

Disposed of the family's guinea pig at the vet in the UK. Can't remember if they charged us for it or not. Best to ask your vet what services they can offer you.

Just googled and rabbit-size cremations start at over $200 ! Hopefully, a vet can chuck it in with others for a few bucks.

Bury it discreetly in the garden then tell her you've taken it to the rabbit place in the sky.

Tough if it isn't
My family home's garden had about 15 cats, 8 rabbits, several hamsters, fish (although most of them disappeared down the toilet) and mice buried near the gooseberry bush. It was more emotional to leave the garden than the house.

I know the Brisbane City Council have a service to come pick up your dead dogs, so maybe they do other pets. What State are you in?

Might be worth checking with the local coumcil. If they allow it they might have prescribed grave depths dependimg on species.

I wish there'd been (deep) prescribed depths several years ago. Next door neighbor buried their cat, about 4 days later our dog dug it up and brought it home as a present for me.

You can't bury it, and can't put it in the bin. .... Hmmm, now what else could you do with it?
..... You realise you have asked this question in "The Barbie", don't you?

Just bury it somewhere (Australia is big- yes?) when she's out. Get her a kitten.
