Spent 3 days up to elbows in white gloss paint, plus spent 3 hours in the usual holiday nightmare traffic on the bruce highway:curse: usually a 50 minute drive, decided to beat it on way back and left at 10 am, because of the rain, everyone had same idea and that took another 3 hours:curse:

This weekend I resembled an actual bloke around the house doing like blokey things (that I normally get a little man in for). Have totally rearranged the house, moved rooms around, shifted bloody great bits of furniture up and down the stairs and built a walk-in robe for our new huge bedroom. I'm now ****ing knackered and looking forward to a restful working week.

The traffic was crazy. The Kings Highway desperately needs to be upgraded and I was able to switch the engine off several times on the way up the Clyde as nobody was moving for 20 minutes at a time. I've never seen it so bad. The bottleneck was in Braidwood and I can't understand why a bypass hasn't been built. Obviously the local businesses thrive off the hordes of exhausted, hungry and dehydrated motorists.

I think the NSW South Coast is one of the more under-rated regions in Australia with magnificent forests, secluded bays, endless beaches, lakes and mountains. It gets more unspoilt the further south you go. We love Tuross Head and Bermagui as well. Just waiting for property prices to crash

The traffic's the same on the Princes through Berry - a traditional bottleneck. But work will start on the Berry bypas within a couple of years and they're improving this road all the way down. It's funny living somewhere that people come to on their holidays and long weekends - I always smile wryly to myself when I drive into my little town and see them all towing their caravans and trailers to head back to the city, knowing I have this year round.

Friday slept in until 6:30 then took the puppy for a walk. Came home and sat on my ass until noon when I figured it was time to get dressed. Dug the old plants out of the back garden then sat around a little more.
Saturday went to Bunnings and bought plants then off to soil place for a trailer full of pig poo. Planted back gardens and spread poo. Did some grocery shopping and cleaned my house.
Sunday finished gardens, made a nice curry for Midwife Mandy and her daughter, had a nice relaxing afternoon chatting.
Monday back to Bunnings and soil shop for more plants and poo. Did front gardens in the morning. Afternoon entertained neighbours and their visitors from UK. Drank copious amounts of wine and went to sleep with my bed spinning.
Today I woke up with a very sore head at 5:45 so I could go to work.

spent 3 days in bed 'getting over' the previous 8-9 weeks where I have been working a minimum of 75 hours per week....
then HE dragged me out of the house and away from work I brought home to spend the day at Mandurah, kids fished and I chillded... they had fish n chips and I got mixed beans and snow pea shoots and yogurt...
caught the sun sitting on the bench, wandered up and down the front.. chilled some more..
drove past 'bush fires' on way home...
slept
