Default Wearing pyjamas to go to the shops

What is it with some people who think nothing of popping out to the shop (nightowls, subway, blockbuster etc) in pyjamas and slippers?

If that had happened in my old home town in the UK, the person would have been regarded as a nutter.

Complete fiction. I don't believe you. This often pops up on BE but I've never seen it in 5yrs of supermarket shopping around Brisbane....so it can't be true.

I'm convinced that people like jazzys start these threads deliberately as some kind of practical joke ! Please tell me I'm right, or post the photos to prove me wrong !!!!

Quite common round our way - whole families shopping in pyjamas in the local supermarket at times, I just find it freaky, I wouldn't want the world to see me in my nightclothes - may its some kind of exhibitionist fetish they have?

You'd all better get used to it......

Italian designers Dolce and Gabbana, the designer duo – who run one of Europe’s biggest fashion houses - claim sleepwear is about to become spring’s biggest trend.
Stefano Gabbana said: “Be a sleeping beauty. Wear your pyjamas for daywear to get the coolest look of the season. Every day becomes a duvet day.”

Ha Ha, I dont know where you are from but I'm in Liverpool, DH is from Manchester and it's a common occurance in both cities and not just to the local shops.

I see gals in the city centre in coat, PJ's and big rollers in their hair gross really. They wear them in bed, wear them out, then back to bed yuck. Or maybe they have special PJ's for going shopping.
