we've been here for 7 weeks and my main worries were spiders, didnt think for one minute we would meet any snakes .
there we were minding our own business sat on mullaloo beach when we saw a huge big black snake slither past us to climb up a sand dune.
we haven't moved that fast since boarding the plane to leave the uk!

Our dear little dog "Baxter" was killed by a brown snake three days ago. He actually killed the snake but the snake had bitten him.
We came home to find both dead on our door. A very sad time for us. He would have been 8 years old next month. We also lost his sister to a snake bite 2 years ago.
I firmly believe that the only good snake is a dead one.

We've been here 4 years and seen about a dozen in that time. Scariest was a green tree snake on the hall stand. Not venomous but still got big teeth.
When people state that x snake is harmless, just think what two big holes in your skin feels like.

- I was at Mullallo today and will be tomorrow for vacswim. I am now going to sit close to the water instead of nearer the back.I shouted at 3 kids on Monday for climbing up the sand dunes :curse:- not because of the snakes but because of the rehabilitation of the dunes. Should have left them to be shite scared when they saw a snake.

What is the "Rehabilitation of the dunes". Aren't sand dunes dynamic, in that the wind dictates their movement and shape?
