Hya - its just the unknown thats a wee bit scary - I just had to bundle up my courage and just go and introduce myself - some people will look at you as if you have two heads, but most are glad that someone has made the introduction/connection and will gratefully start speaking back! Or at least a smile - my face is cracked with smiling - we are back in Scotland now, but its not the town where we are originally from, and we have to start all over again - grins - they probably all think I'm the village idiot!!!

Hubby has it slightly easier (in my book) as he meets people at work, but as I am not working just now (heavily preggers) I have to go about it a different way.... As for the school gates, well I didn't have too much success at that one - everyone is in such a rush, however, the school had organised a uniform sale one afternoon, and that was great - everyone now had a common theme - met a lot more people! All the best, just take that first step and then you'll be running Fi, Bob and gang xx
