We are in the middle of sending our visa but still unsure were to settle, we are a family of four two girls aged 11 and 17, hubby is a plasterer and I work as a health care assisant.
We are thinking of Perth but what about everywhere else, dont want to make the wrong decision, any help making this decision would be great

Why Perth .......?
Can't understand why everyone wants to settle in " Perth '' compared to the ''East coast'' (may be i'm bias ) but i would say ...do a bit of travelling before you decide ,there seems to be an awful lot of unhappy people there with ridiculously large mortgages.
all the best pumb...

Try the East Coast, there is tons more to it than 'Surfers Paradise' and gold lame bikinis!!! Plus easy access to all other areas of Oz with flights from Coolangatta airport, and Brisbane only an hour away. There's the hinterland to explore as well as the Broadwaters and beaches! Come and have a look and try to see past the high rises and tourism.
I love it!

made it all the way up to rockhampton.

visit some web sites for local authorities and compare for a bit of home work.

Yes....that seems to be a growing trend at the moment, people that have made their money in ''Perth'' are now moving ''East'' and taking advantage of cheaper house prices ,ironic thing is though they are now causing a second house boom ,especially between ''Brizzy'' and the ''Goldcoast''. Have noticed house prices on the GC have gone up $50-100 grand in the last 6mths....or is it just me....?

We're trying, just waiting on hubbys job to make him permanent! Watching the news talking about mortgages and interest rates is very frustrating! :curse:
