Then I would smell Mums chicken casserole/baked potatoes and I would eat my bodyweight in food and go to bed exhausted.

Thats just how it was, no computer or PC games, you got your exercise at school and after hours playing outside with your mates and you worked up one hell of an appetite doing so.

And now my appetite is ruined because you are tempting me with Cadburys chocolate on Facebook and stories of Flakes and Mars Bars.
Me too . . . I remember many a good knee trembler up some quite country lane as a youf.

Going back to the uniform thing......puzzles me that so many parents over here are worrying about sending their kids to school without coats and reckon the kids want to wear them - when back home in winter all you see is schoolgirls shivering at bus stops in shirtsleeves, skimpy skirts, and ankle socks having deliberately left their coats and jumpers at home!!

My kids are the same, having been sent to school in the snow and ice in the Scottish winters, they still feel the cold here and ask for fleecy jackets.

I love Perth winters, this morning was chilly/crisp with the sun shining. Although I hate it when it rains here, it scares the crap out of me if I have to drive in it, today for me was gorgeous.

Cold but only needing a fleece and not feeling so cold you have to do that 'rugging up' to feel better, I aint a horse, I dont rug up, I dont mind a light jacket but I dont want to mumify myself in order to go outside either.

Today is perfect for me weatherwise.

Never could get my boys to wear jackets, on the odd occasion they would wear a jumper.
