Default Way to lose a license

A 19 year old girl was stopped, three times in about 4 hours driving from her home to Melbourne, she was speeding each time, the first time the police warned her, told her to be careful and she would be hearing from the court, about an hour or so later she was stopped again, this time clocked at 210km per hour, this time the police removed the plates from the car, put a forbidden notice on the car, a Jaguar SUV, and took her license with an immediate disqualification, less then 2 hours later they got a report of a black SUV being driven a 'bit quick' yes, it was the same girl, she had removed the forbidden notice, created some 'new plates' this time the police physically removed the vehicle to stop her, she thought it would be OK to ignore the suspension, and make temporary plates, she's facing a whole raft of prosecutions apart from the three speeding ones, two of which were at over 200 kph. all in the space of 4 hours.

Can't help but wonder about a person like this's upbringing. To give zero sh!ts to this degree in someone so young suggests to me a very complicated back story.

Based on years working in Queensland's emergency services it sounds fairly typical of a large section of Australian society.......

Have to agree with you, we were surprised when we first arrived in Australia, the amount of “speed racing” at night both around the subs and freeways and burn outs, we use to wonder what the black circles in the road was lol and that was with us arriving from Manchester

I used to shake my head on disbelief at times - I remember one seriously bad day, years ago now, maybe 2013?; 4 or 5 kids, eldest was 14/15. They lived on a property inland from Mackay. Eldest used to drive them all to the property gate to get the school bus, leave the car then then drive back home at night. Big property and it was about 3 miles, but what did they use? A powerful V8 ute
I remember a colleague, who had grown up in the area, defending the practice, saying it was the only way to get around, but I still don't understand why a kid well under age, with no licence and no adult with them, can drive a car like that, full of kids, over bad terrain for that distance. At the very least, something less powerful should have been used. No one seemed to see anything wrong with what they were doing.

They wrapped the car round a tree one day on the way back, in the dark. From memory, 3 dead at the scene, not sure the others made it in the end either.
And still all people could say was that it was sad.

Not an isolated incident either, just sticks cos it was so senseless.

A friends son lost his life driving home from work (he was at college and working evenings at farmer jacks north of the river in Perth Wa, a young driver without a license etc jumped the lights and crashed into the friends sons who was killed instantly the driver was fine but later it was found out that the family had numerous warnings from the police about the children driving around their huge block of Land but obviously did not take notice, we still think about our friends son as he was in all honesty a beautiful person.
