Ive seen it all the time in the last few years and its put or putting off alot of regular posters who give valuable info on these forums.
Watching this video may help newbies, may remind a few where the search bar is and may help a few with how to post a thread to get the maximum out of their initial question.

This forum has such a quick turnover and posts do generally tend disappear quite quickly, hence things get duplicated. But that's because it's such a popular forum

Also, from past experiences it is not always easy to find what you are looking for by doing a search
and I'm no newbie
My opinion

Things like......What singapore airlines like?
What bank can i set up from the uk.
I admit that things change, but its all about searching first which some people dont seem to do.
I search google nd other forums and so on before i get really stuck enough to ask.
Or ill ask "whats the best bar in manly to watch the footy in" That is specific and if i did search on "bars" and "manly" id have to trawl through loads of post in order to find nothing so i can see how it can all come apart.
Just search first please everyone if you dont know, you will end up finding out much more too!!
Another thing is when people post "OMG ive come home and its raining" type posts, just prattling on to cyber friends on how crap their lives are. Whats the point???
Getting comfort when you are miles away from F+ Fam are one thing but whinging about the price of bananas is a waste of time in my eyes.
One post to signify that the whole crop has been wiped out by a tornado and prices may rise will do, and then a thread about what other fruits grown locally that are tasty can be good replacements, and maybe a few recipes etc etc, but to go on and on and on about the prices in your nearest coles etc etc etc is just mind numbing when you are trying to search through posts for info and have to read page after page of drivel, get a bloody life and buy pears or something else, and most of all enjoy the country you have moved to and get of the computer and get some fresh air.
LOL
This is a very generalistic post and hope you know what i men by its contents and not everyone falls under the same blanket of y torrents
Off my chest finally

You sound like a Thread Nazi :scared:
This is the internet where we still have freedom of speech (within certain decencies). You may not like it, and yes, there's sometimes a load of crap and repeated conversations on here, but that's the joy and of the internet.

I know it's annoying to keep seeng the same things over and over again, but, as mentioned before new answers do come up. Also, info changes, businesses shut/open/change their products/services every day and sometimes the only way to ensure that the info is current is to ask there and then.

Loved the clip and couldn't agree more with what you say.
Don't expect it'll do any good, but you never know.

Anyway got to practice what you preach and stop writing drivel and get out and do some work. Cheers.
ps perhaps you should have titled it 'Got It' or 'How happy is your Cat/Dog..'
