Just checked the red book on one of our cars...

Private Price Guide $3,700 - $5,100
Trade In Price Guide $1,700 - $3,100

My wife keeps saying she wants a new one.... But she keeps looking at the Mercedes at $50,900 !!!

I suggested a new 2009 Hyundai Getz S TB, (Price Guide $13,990) but not sure she fancies that one.

If you're looking for under 2,500 pounds you won't stand a chance. If you consider paying dollars you may have more luck

We are in springfield lakes sorry should have said. And yep $2500 not used to the dollar sign yet.

Ive looked on all the car web sites and im still looking. I just thought that some one on this site might be tring to sell a cheap car.
Its not for me its for a backpacker staying with us. not fussy as long as its roadworthy.

thanks

As I suggested, try the dealers on the Magic Mile at Moorooka or the local Quest newspaper classifieds that get delivered to you. THe Qld Trading Post has hundreds of used cars in it too.

$2500 won't get much with a safety cert. Have a look on carsales.com.au . . . you might be able to find an old Volvo 240 or similar which would do the backpacker thing fine.

There's a coupe listed for $550 on carsguide.

A 1934 Austin 7. At least it will be ecomonical and with air con as well

Whyalla is just a bit further along the road from Moorooka
