Well its Sunday morning, everyone else is still asleep, and I'm on hold with Qantas, so I thought I'd kill some time......
Obviously the longer it goes on, the more people the ash cloud will affect, so it'd be interesting to see just how many of us are in limbo at present.

I voted the relatives are supposed to visit but unable to...partly correct...actually they're supposed to be on their way to Ireland from Canada in a week's time. Looking at the backlog of passengers to get through first once flights resume, whenever that is, I really doubt they'll be departing as scheduled.

Will probably be stuck en route (Madrid) back to London tonight/tomorrow morning.
Not complaining if I miss a few more days of work.

As you can't get out the country you could always offer to do voluntary work here... http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/aviation...aacuk_vag.html

Can you not claim a council house and benefits in London to finance the shopping, most other arrivals who overstay there welcome in the UK can?
