The flight is fine...a bit long but no worries. As for the accomodation, there is plenty of choice so you could just drive somewhere and just stay there. Cas and I like driving down the Great Ocean Road and just stopping at any motel

WE have a week with rellies first and then hubby wants to do his own thing .
i think that is what hubby plans to do, we want to go to Philip island then mornington peninsular , the dandenogs (sp) and the GOR if we get chance/time.
As we fly back on the 24th

Are you sightseeing or reccieing, or both?

Mainly sight seeing according to hubby, but i want to look at the possible areas we may go with the army, like pucka whatever its called

I would recommend you sightsee and enjoy yourself. I know you'll be thinking about areas to live in, but you don't get a good feeling from a reccie. So enjoy your holiday

To be honest that is what hubby has said, he is just treating this as a holiday to see if he can cope with the heat etc.

We signed up to Optus land line for $39 a month which gives us calls to the uk for 2.9c a minute and the Optus dial up is a monthly fee plus call charges which is 20c on the landline rate. Have now signed up for broadband though so hope to have that sorted soon. That's $49 a month for a pretty good package.
