nah, if i can recommend one thing is to have it early so you don't feel too emotional !!

we had fab weather, water fight, rounders, giant games, a casino and loads of inflatables !

Boring, shopping this morning, dropped kids off at my mams. Came home and the kids went to friends and i did a bit of housework.

Your day sounds as though it was fantastic.
I think i will try and slope off without a party. As i get weepy saying goodbye when we leave the in laws after a week.

we weren't going to have a party but someone on here convinced me that it was easier to have a bash which people came to at once than trying to visit everyone before you went

To be honest we only have a handful of family who bother with us and very few friends. all the constant moving with the army soon makes you realise who you want to keep in touch with.

I will have a party for the kids instead.

ah, that's sad. most of my mates are from church or are parents from school, i seem to have a clear out of friends and get new ones every few years

My middle son is very popular at school and has already told his buddies that when he moves to oz he is going to have a huge party and Steve Irwin will be there. All i can say he has a good imagination.

with moving around so much we do make a lot of acquaintances, but from our days in Germany we still keep in touch with a couple who moved to Newcastle. they have already said they will love to visit us in oz and i know from experience that they mean it .
