Hiya Mandy - did you have a good and busy weekend ?

Great weekend, took the kids on a 2 mile walk over moorlands near where my parents live and picniked on route.
Then today i followed my dad in my car with the kids to a beach my parents used to take us to. The kids loved it loads of sand and sea and not an amusment arcade in sight so cheap too

Fantastic - good for the kids to get out and about - loads of fresh air, bet they're knackered now !

I do miss living near the beach especially when the weather is as good as it is now!

All asleep, totally whacked they were, youngest said can we go back tomorrow bless him.

the beach is near where the pits used to dump the coal slag. there are still some traces of coal dust on the beach . Not the most picturesque one but does for the kids.

Sea air always makes me sleep well. I also love walking on the beach early morning/evening when it's cooler, so refreshing. I love watching the sea, it's fascinating.

I was brought up in Kent...only a 15 min drive to the nearest beach!

Not like now when its at least an hour up the M6 to Blackpool!

Well im going to have to have a shower as ive got sand in my shoes and hair etc. and it is irritating me know.

So what have you been up to then Heather?

I've been to a spa from Friday morning until 7pm today. Had a hot stone E'spa facial, eyelash tint and algae wrap. Few swims in the indoor and outdoor pool, bit of sunbathing and a lot of pimms and crisps

Am now very chilled despite muggy weather

Thats much better , all i need now is a drink
