Get him to sit down, close his eyes and retrace his steps methodically. Include all the details. Sometimes helps if you can prompt, but not too much. The key is to narrow down the scope ie where did he last know that he had them, to where he realised he didn't. I assume you have rung the place he got them verified? And the Police? Sorry if this seems obvious.

He found them....sitting happily under a pile of other stuff in a cupboard, as though hidden from thieves. Why? Why?
Anyway, it's all good

I know pretty much everyone here has been there, that's why I vented here cos people who have not done this visa hell don't get it lol....almost 3 hours past my bedtime now and husband and I have not killed each other yet but it's close...scan, upload, yell, scan, upload, yell, tantrum etc...awww, we knew it would be like this...all will be well Well,
