URLs for Aus radio streams
Anyone know a good source for Aussie radio streams? I don't want a streaming radio website, I want the actual stream URL.
Now Christian O'Connell is here I want to try waking up to him (on the radio) again. I'm 300km N of Melbourne so can't tune the radio in. I've tried a couple of Aus radio apps that have alarm functions, but so far the alarm functions haven't worked at all. Use the same apps to manually start the stream, and it keeps cutting in and out. I want to try another app, but need the actual stream URL. Can't find anything anywhere, other than radio websites. Ta muchly.

Not sure if this will help. He is on Gold 104.3, so maybe worth emailing and asking them is you can't get it from here;

For a couple of my internet radios I use this service which may help as well;
Frontier Silicon Wi-Fi Radio Portal - Member Login
Other streaming sources here;
Internet radio stations from Australia, listen live Australian radio

If you have a Google Home you ought to be able to use something like :
"Hey Google, set radio alarm for 6am tomorrow” and then "Gold 104.3" for the station when promoted. You can set up repeated alarms etc. (eg weekdays). Might have to have US English selected, unless they have fixed it.

One thing I would like, a radio station that exclsuively plays the old radio comedies. Especially the BBC ones. I really enjoyed listening to Marriage Lines on 4extra for a while and the Navy Lark, took me right back it did. Trouble is it's only on at certain times. That Marriage lines had me laughing my head off at work. I can basically only find it on youtube as tv shows. It's amazing the stars they had in those old radio shows. To the manor born was fairly funny on radio as well....As was Steptoe and son..... There where a couple of dud shows in amongst them as well though. Oh there were a couple of episodes of Around the Horn, that I caught up with as well.... they were really good as well.
The dud was the show with Les something or other, the guy that played the piano badly at the end of his shows. It was basically the same gags every week.
If you get a chance check out those old Marriage Lines show radio version, its incredibly risque for it's time. Has some very funny plots as well.

Don't ask, don't get. So I contacted Gold 104.3 via Facebook - and they gave me the URL But they said it changes from time to time so have asked me not to share it!

I only use Union Jack these days, can't remember the name of the guy that tipped us off about it, but it's probably the best net based media tip I've ever had. One would think because it's exclusively british it would be rather narrow.... quite the reverse, because of being exclusively British, they cover 6 decades of music and I personally really like that.
