Eldest boy asked today if there is a version of Australian University Challenge.

They do have something close to Mastermind though. It's called the Einstein Factor, on ABC. I wouldn't say it is as hard as Mastermind

There used to be, once.
I remember seeing an Australian University Challenge series - probably 15 years ago or so? I think it was made in Melbourne. I can't remember who the question master was - a Victorian academic, I think - but the series didn't take off.
The funny thing about it was that the two teams really did sit one above the other - rather than just appearing to do so, which is what happens in the UK.

Actually one more good reason to be a Citizen. Fee Help (not means tested) pays for $84k of education costs in your lifetime in a similar way to student loans, interest fee loan that you repay once you earn more than $50k.
