The older I get the more I realise it's the quality of our relationships with others that's the real measure of our wealth.

I opened this post not knowing what to expect.

What nice photo's of your children, they look like very happy and even slightly cheeky little monkeys ;)

I'm glad I read your post. We were out in Australia - well a few too many years to mention maybe but I was unwell during our visit and people we didn't know had found out and brought us food. If you ask my better half he'll tell you I'm not often lost for words but I was that fortnight. Some hadn't even left an address to return the trays etc and we never saw them again.
I remember Mr saying to me  that never happened in the UK.

I hope life gets much easier for you and your family soon.

Could I just say though I'm very tired and upon looking at your photo's I did initially have to do a double take as what I saw was not indeed the sort of pup I was expecting to see ;)

Well said. Not for nothing do they say that a man is known by the company he keeps.

I think there are a lot of decent kind people around and I always try to pay it back.

It's the little things that you do or say that can mean so much and when it is reciprocated to others, you realise the world is not such a shite place after all.

There are quite a few kind people on this site as well that have helped others that they have never met or dont really know.

I second that from personal experience. Two kind ladies from this site helped save my sanity (such as it is) with bookly donations. It meant/means a lot to me. I have met one of them and the other I hope one day to meet if I ever do the grand tour - but that would take a lottery win, which isn't likely as I can't buy tickets dammit! Always a flaw in my plans ... the old saying "the best laid schemes (or is it plans?) of mice and men gang aft agley" - I just can't claim that my plan (or scheme) is "best laid" as buying a ticket is pretty much a fundamental part of the whole thing! Back to the drawing board :D
