This has to be the most unbelievable news story I have ever seen.
Nothing to do with Australia, but if you have a spare ten minutes or so, it's worth reading the story and definitely watching the video.

Yeah, been following that. Bastard got off scot free. Unbelievable, but then clever too.... But really, taking him to court and basing an entire case on it being him buying the card was just so... thin.

It appears 'stupid' because looking at it now, you can't believe that anyone can fall for something like that, but it's different being in a situation like that and people are easily swayed when someone in 'authority' is in control. Vash has mentioned Milgram... There's an explanatory write up of his experiment here....

Milgrams experiment really made me consider authority and the way it can be used against people.
I now have a valid excuse for why I have spent my life falling out with figures of authority, I just won't do anything without questioning it first!!

This story was horrid...
another aspect of it was the victim's inability to escape - that running naked through the restaurant was a worse option than being abused in a back room.
