I hear you but he left parliament and has not been re-elected. Unelected politicians should not have the power he has.

I agree. I can still picture his face when he was voted out. Classic.

Funny thing is. Some people think that the UK has the best democracy in the world.

I remember that. Mandelson is just another example of Brown's contempt of the British people.

The Belgians now have a "boycott England" movement over him saying Belgium wasn't even a "real country" - from this side of the pond I can tell you that I wanted Bush and his cronies OUT for not taking other countries seriously.

Perhaps this is par for the course in EU "dialogue" but I think the criticism should be scathing about the actions of a government rather than simply dismissing an entire country. That sort of stuff belongs in the pub - or here.

The Belgians want to "boycott England"? Have any of them studied the UK's trade balance with the EU??

OK, if they won't buy our goods, or visit England as tourists, or whatever, we can do the same to them............ they will be the losers, as we have a trade deficit with them. Doh!!

And the reality is that Belgium was slapped together as a buffer zone between France and the Netherlands. (Germany came later.)

I could never vote for any of the LabConLib jokers and UKIP just don't do it for me, for a variety of reasons.

The only party who make sense to me are The English Democrats and I will be voting for them.
