Not sure whether he is campaigning in this situation or not, Although it would be hard not to share the distress of those in these circumstances when faced with its stark reality. Not sure why May appears to find that difficult.... Probably the stiff upper lip was drummed into her as a way of reacting under pressure in her private schooling. Anyone that sticks it for 4 years or more .... |

Cant even do it with bigotry.... bugger me seems she's just built that way.. . |

Why would I be care (share? Please you've had your fair share) that your pension scheme has been been reduced to what is actually fair, and in line with those in the private sector - though still very generous.
Your greed is amazing. What is greedy about pointing out that teachers were treated unfairly compared to other public sector workers? |

Corbyn is playing this tragedy like a pro - and the British media and people are lapping it up Using a disaster to score points - I know this is not restricted to any side of politics - but f**ked up all the same Corbyn wins. He can't win an election but he wins on the bullshit Respect - the boy knows how to play a crowd like a fiddle Conservative led Kensington and Chelsea Council has a lot of questions to answer about how they buried a 2013 report on fire safety in high rise buildings and being too busy in giving council tax rebates for making 'efficiency savings' (i.e. not spending money where needed) https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/...is-blood-money |

You made a comment, full of inaccuracies about my pension, I correct you and tis me who is greedy. I was commenting on how the public sector pensions of teachers were not changed when the public sector pensions of the police and armed forces were improved by Thatcher. Absolutely nothing to do with the private sector.

Manage your own pension like the rest of us.
I'm on a fixed salary 1/80 scheme which I've been contributing to since I started teaching here many years ago. I took out an FSAVC as well (I HAVE a private pension because the public sector one isn't going to look after me adequately in my retirement which I've earned and pay in the rest of the 15% which doesn't go into the SPPA scheme). I've been paying the NIC's as well which have gone up in %. You want me to ditch that to satisfy your political leanings? |

£8 million spent on refurbishing the tower is hardly a lack of investment. Contractors tender for a job and more often than not, the cheapest gets the prize. Contractors are private companies and this process is the same for both private and public buildings. The chosen cladding had faults. 2000 buildings in Sydney have this cladding. Its an unfortunate accident. At the end of the day, if the cladding was certified as fire resistant, the certifier will get the blame. Simple as that sport. |

Thatcher's changes recognised the service and sacrifice those, particularly the Armed Forces, make. I don't see teachers deployed away from the UK on operations and away from families. |

You do not understand people's anger? I didn't vote for Corbyn as it happens. You just don't have a clue. |

I don't see teachers deployed away from the UK on operations and away from families. She increased pay for police and armed forces AS WELL as putting them on a more lucrative pension scheme. She signalled that law and order is more important than people going onto tertiary education and into teaching. |
