The 100 hours. Locked in a car with your teen who of course by 16 knows more than any adult ever will.

I had 2 lots of that in 3 years. It was only 70 each because they get 30 hours credit if they have 10 drive lessons but I felt every minute of pain

Its a lot of 10 minute drives to the school, to get rid of some pain we did a 17 hour trip outback with one of them.

Must admit I learnt a bit too, they just love it when you do a wrong thing and its My driving instructor says... with that teeny smugness

It is legal to park against traffic flow in the UK.

"You MUST NOT park on a road at night facing against the direction of the traffic flow unless in a recognised parking space. Laws CUR reg 101 & RVLR reg 24"

It is illegal to do a U turn at traffic lights unless there is a sign saying you can, in QLD, NSW, WA and maybe a few others.

It's because of an old road rule apparently.

Here's a surprise ... we don't know rules on roundabouts | Sunshine Coast Daily

And not many people know this one either...

What about this bit in the Highway Code then?

'2. Parking (239 to 247)
239

Use off-street parking areas, or bays marked out with white lines on the road as parking places, wherever possible. If you have to stop on the roadside:

do not park facing against the traffic flow
stop as close as you can to the side...Laws CUR reg 98, 105 & 107, RVLR reg 27 & RTA 1988 sect 42'

It is very simple. Only the words MUST/MUST NOT are legally binding.

The words do not & should not are basically advisory and generally not enforceable by law to carry a penalty, unless used to determine liability. The introduction clarifies this on page 4. Crazy I know.
